What Counts as a Roofing Emergency

If water is entering the house or the roof is open to the sky, it’s an emergency. We treat it like one.

The cost of a roofing emergency isn’t the roof; it’s what’s under it. An hour of water into an attic soaks insulation, stains drywall, ruins flooring and starts mold within days. Getting the water stopped fast is the difference between a roofing repair and a home restoration project.

Our emergency response is a two-step process: stabilize tonight, repair properly later. A tarp installed correctly, screwed through wood strips into rafters and not just laid over the damage, holds through the next storm and buys time to do the permanent repair without rushing it.

  • Active leaks and water through ceilings
  • Tree limbs or debris through the roof
  • Large sections of shingles blown off
  • Storm-damaged skylights, vents or flashing
  • Collapsed or sagging roof sections
  • Fire damage requiring weatherproofing

How Emergency Service Works

Tonight we stop the water. Tomorrow we fix the roof.

A real person answers

No voicemail, no callback queue. Call at 2 a.m. and reach someone who can dispatch a crew.

Fast response across Austin

Crews are dispatched around the clock across Austin and surrounding cities. Response time depends on conditions; we’ll give you an honest ETA.

Proper tarping

Reinforced tarps secured with wood battens screwed into framing. Not a blue tarp weighed down with bricks.

Interior protection

We help contain the water inside, photograph the damage for your insurance and advise on drying out.

Permanent repair scheduled

You’re already on the calendar for the real fix before we leave, usually within days.

Insurance-ready documentation

Emergency mitigation is typically covered. We document everything so it’s reimbursed.

Does Insurance Cover Emergency Roof Repairs?

Almost always, if the cause was a storm, fallen tree or other covered event.

Texas policies typically require you to take reasonable steps to prevent further damage after a loss, and they reimburse you for doing so. That means emergency tarping and water containment are usually covered in addition to the repair itself. We document the emergency work, the cause and the interior damage so your claim includes all of it.

Emergency Roofing FAQ

How fast can you get to my house?

It depends on where you are and what’s happening across the city. On a normal night, within a few hours across Austin. During a major storm event, we triage by severity and give everyone an honest ETA. Call, don’t email.

What should I do while I wait?

Move furniture and electronics out from under the leak, put down buckets and towels, and if a ceiling is bulging with water, poke a small hole in the center so it drains in a controlled spot rather than collapsing. Stay off the roof. Photograph everything for insurance.

Is there an extra charge for nights and weekends?

Emergency response outside normal hours carries an after-hours service charge, which we tell you before dispatching. It’s typically covered by insurance as emergency mitigation when the cause is a covered event.

Do you do the permanent repair too, or just the tarp?

Both. Emergency stabilization and the permanent repair are the same company and the same warranty. You’re scheduled for the repair before we leave the tarp job.

Can you help with the inside water damage?

We contain the water, document the damage and can refer you to restoration contractors we trust for drying and drywall. Our job is the roof; we make sure the rest gets handled by people who do it well.
