How much does a new roof cost in Austin?
For a typical single-family home, the price depends on roof size, pitch, the material you choose and how many layers have to come off. Because those factors vary so much house to house, we don’t quote from the ground. Do I need a new roof or just a repair?
If the damage is isolated, the shingles are under about 15 years old and the decking is sound, a repair is usually the right call and we’ll tell you so. Widespread hail bruising, curling shingles, granule loss across the whole roof or multiple active leaks point toward replacement. Our inspection report shows you the photos so the decision is yours, not ours.
Will my insurance pay for a new roof?
If the damage was caused by a covered event like hail or wind, most Texas homeowner policies pay for repair or replacement minus your deductible. Normal wear and age are not covered. We document the damage the way adjusters need to see it and meet them on the roof. Here’s how the claim process works.
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most Austin homes are finished in one to two days. Larger homes, steep roofs, tile and metal take longer, and we’ll give you the timeline in writing before we start. Weather can shift the schedule; we never leave a roof open overnight.
Is Tex Roof licensed and insured?
Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so any roofer claiming a “Texas roofing license” is being loose with the facts. What protects you is insurance: we carry general liability and workers’ compensation, and certificates of insurance are available on request.
What warranty do you offer?
Two warranties, both in writing: 2 to 5 years on our workmanship depending on the roof system, and the manufacturer’s material warranty, which runs up to 30 years on the shingle lines we install. We register the manufacturer warranty for you.
